You just broke down all my reasons for not reading Balthazar with this:
this one is the perfect read for someone without hours to devout to deep theological study, but wants something that can truly feed their faith and understanding. This is a very short book that looks at the problems plaguing the average Cath
I had high hopes for the North Woods, but ultimately, it rang a bit hollow (no pun intended!). The writing was expert, but I guess I expected something more from it. It had promise, but didn’t deliver for me. I’m all for odd books about nature, though!
Also, I would love to hear your thoughts about the latest Princess Catherine news!
I think you're bang on, it's not exactly a deep classic. I think if I had higher expectations I would have been disappointed as well, but I honestly just thought I'd take a shot on it and enjoyed it for its weirdness.
I ranted a lot on instagram about the reaction to the news about Princess Catherine, because I think it outrageous that no one was apologizing for spreading lies about a young mom with cancer! I also do want to take a victory lap about being right. She's not a robot and she's alive.

Haha, it's pretty tough trying to get serious theological tomes into your daily reading habits!
A book list is such a fun surprise during Holy Week! Thanks for taking the time to share it :)
Thanks AnneMarie!
I always look forward to your book posts and get good ideas from them. This time I’m putting the Balthasar book on my tBR.
You're very kind! I hope you like it!
Ok the feast is definitely going on my list for next library visit! Great recs as always
You're going to love it!
I have never heard of the The Feast, but your recommendation has definitely placed it on my TBR list. I love a good cover too; going to get this one!
